Welcome to The Junior’s Page

Juniors are aged between 8 years and 16 years although there is the opportunity for supervised, no-pressure, non-competitive instruction for children as young a 6 years.

The Junior classes focus initially on Judo etiquette, discipline on the mat and break-falls. They then move into basic throws and ground holds and progress from there according to the ability of each individual.

All instructors have been awarded their Black Belt and are qualified to teach Judo across all age ranges. Junior classes are fully supervised with close attention paid to the initial lessons to ensure that they are having fun as well as making progress without any pressure.

Parents and Guardians are welcome to stay throughout the training sessions or they can return at the end of the session to collect the young person, whichever is their choice.

Training classes are held every Tuesday:

6:30pm - 7:30pm Under 10 years

7:30pm - 8:45pm Juniors Over 10 years
